Copydex has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Production has stopped for good, and the 50ml bottle was the last size still being made before the whole range ended. We’re one of a small number of UK stockists with genuine stock still on the shelf — once what’s left nationwide sells out, there won’t be any more.
Copydex is a natural latex adhesive that’s stuck around for decades because it’s water-based, solvent-free and dries flexible rather than rigid. That flexibility is what makes it so useful across such a wide range of jobs — glued fabric can still stretch, a repaired carpet edge can still flex underfoot, and it’s genuinely washable once cured.
Popular uses for Copydex Adhesive:
- Carpet repairs – loose edges, seams and curling carpet tape
- Dressmaking – hemming, appliqué and repositionable fabric bonding
- Soft toy & teddy bear repairs – invisible, flexible mending
- Paper crafts & card making – photo mounting and scrapbooking
- School & kids’ craft projects – safe, non-toxic and washable
- Costume, cosplay & theatrical prosthetics – securing wig caps and latex pieces
- Leather & suede repairs – lifting edges, loose seams and patches
- Cork tiles, cork boards & small flooring edge repairs
- Dried & silk flower arranging – securing stems and loose petals
Why crafters and repairers rely on it:
- Water-based, solvent-free and non-toxic – safe for school and household use
- Dries flexible and clear, not stiff or brittle
- Washable once fully cured – ideal for clothing and soft toy repairs
- Repositionable while tacky, before the bond fully sets
How to use it: Apply a thin, even layer to both surfaces, leave for a few minutes until it turns from white to a translucent, tacky finish, then press together firmly and hold or weight in place while it cures. Always replace the cap tightly and store upright – Copydex is water-based and will thicken, then eventually go solid, if left exposed to air.
Anyone with a known latex allergy should avoid prolonged skin contact and patch-test first.
