Looking for a Ronseal 10 Year Woodstain in Dark Oak? This 2.5L satin exterior wood stain is made for doors and windows, on smooth planed wood. It is water based and goes on with a brush, and Ronseal says it is “guaranteed to last 10 years”. Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
There is no need for a basecoat or primer. The stain is rainproof in one hour and can be recoated after four hours, and Ronseal recommends three coats, brushed on in the direction of the grain. It is completely dry in 12 hours. Coverage is up to 18m² per litre, so the 2.5L pack goes a long way on a few frames. It is formulated to resist rain, frost, snow and UV, and to stay put rather than peel or flake. Please note it is not suitable for decking or rough sawn wood. It is a great value way to refresh your woodwork with a big brand name, and a handy one to stock up on if you have several windows or doors to do.
