Looking for a quick drying woodstain in Deep Mahogany? Ronseal Quick Drying Woodstain comes in a 250ml tin with a satin finish and is made for exterior doors, windows and other exterior wood. Ronseal say it is rainproof in only 30 minutes and protects wood against rain, snow, frost and sunshine, with a water-based, low VOC formula that resists cracking and peeling. Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
Ronseal recommend three coats for colour and protection, brushed on in the direction of the grain with four hours between coats. Before you start, sand with 120 grit sandpaper, wipe with white spirit, and make sure the wood is dry and above 10°C. For a smoother finish, lightly sand between the final coats. Brushes clean in warm, soapy water, and the stain washes off skin easily. It is a low price way to colour and protect outdoor woodwork, and a handy tin to keep in the shed for doors and window frames.
