Payment Methods
We accept a range of secure payment methods to make checkout as convenient as possible.
Credit and debit cards
We accept major credit and debit cards, including:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your full card details are never stored on our website or servers.
Apple Pay and Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay may be available at checkout on supported devices, browsers and payment cards.
If Apple Pay or Google Pay is available for your order, it will be shown as a payment option during checkout.
These payment methods allow you to pay using the card details already saved securely to your device or digital wallet.
Link by Stripe
Link by Stripe may be available at checkout.
Link allows eligible customers to save and reuse payment details securely for a faster checkout experience across Link-enabled websites.
If Link is available to you, it will be shown as an option during checkout.
PayPal
You can pay using your PayPal account at checkout.
PayPal may also allow you to pay by card through the PayPal checkout without needing to create or log in to a PayPal account.
PayPal Pay in 3
PayPal Pay in 3 may be available on eligible purchases over £30, allowing you to spread the cost across three interest-free monthly payments.
PayPal Pay in 3 is provided by PayPal and is subject to PayPal’s own eligibility checks, approval and terms. Home Hardware Direct cannot approve, decline or amend PayPal Pay in 3 applications.
For more information, please see our PayPal Pay in 3 guidance.
Secure payment links
If you are having trouble completing checkout, please contact our customer service team.
Where appropriate, we may be able to send you a secure Stripe payment link. This allows you to enter your payment details securely through Stripe’s payment page.
We will never ask you to send your full card details by email, live chat, phone, contact form or social media message.
Only complete a payment link if you have already discussed this with a member of the Home Hardware Direct team and are expecting the link.
If you receive an unexpected payment link, or you are unsure whether a link is genuine, please contact us before entering any payment details.
Payment security
All transactions on our website are protected using secure HTTPS encryption.
Before entering payment details, please check that you are on our correct website. The address bar should show homehardwaredirect.mom and begin with https://.
Card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link payments are processed through Stripe’s secure payment gateway where available. PayPal payments are processed through PayPal’s secure payment gateway.
Your full card details are handled securely by the relevant payment provider and are not stored on our website or servers.
We may store limited payment information linked to your order, such as the payment method used, payment status, transaction reference or refund status, so that we can process your order and support you if you need help.
How payments may appear on your statement
Payments made through Stripe, including credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link payments, may appear on your bank or card statement as:
- HOME HARDWARE DIRECT
- HHD* O #[order number]
Payments made through PayPal may appear as Home Hardware Direct or similar wording depending on your PayPal account, bank, card issuer or payment provider.
PayPal receipts or transaction references may also include our invoice prefix HHD.
This may also apply to Click & Collect orders placed through our website.
The exact wording shown on your statement may vary depending on your bank, card issuer or payment provider.
When payment is taken
Payment is taken when you place your order online.
If an item is later cancelled, unavailable, refunded or partially refunded, any refund due will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
Payment problems
If your payment fails or checkout does not complete, please check that your billing details, card details and payment provider information have been entered correctly.
If the issue continues, please contact our customer service team and we’ll be happy to help.
